About Us

24 months and under -The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry along with the American Dental Association recommends that children have their first dental visit by age one. Think of this as a well-baby visit with an emphasis on healthy teeth and mouth. This will be an educational visit for our new parents. At this visit we review brushing, flossing, and correct use of toothpaste, as well as habits, nutrition, breastfeeding, bottle, sippy cup use, etc. We also discuss what to anticipate in terms of future growth and tooth development. This visit is also a great opportunity for the family to have questions about their child’s dental health reviewed and answered.

24 months and over - For this age group we provide a comprehensive dental and head and neck examination, cleaning, and fluoride treatment depending on your child’s needs and age. We may also recommend x-rays as necessary based on the risk factor for cavities and the need to monitor growth and development. Additionally, for every child, we provide nutrition information and oral hygiene review with instruction. We conclude the visit with recommendations for your child’s home routine that emphasizes prevention based on your child’s individualized needs.
